In 1998 the Clinton Administration signed into law the '1998 Iraq Liberation Act (H.R. 4655)' which made it official policy of the United States to seek to remove the Saddam Hussein regime from power in Iraq and to replace it with a democratic government. The official policy became "containment-plus-regime-change".

Mind-boggling but true. Takes 'election interference' to a whole new level...!! After the US got bogged down in Iraq, they didn't get around to Libya or Syria as quickly as they'd hoped.

The continuity of agenda running through successive administrations, using the pretext of 'democracy and human rights', is plain to see. The 'anti deep-state' Trump administration, just like the Bush, Obama, and Biden administrations, all promised change and an end to US involvement in foreign wars. Instead existing wars dragged on, and regime change to extend US influence and exert pressure on Russia and China continues unabated.

"Trump didn’t write this plan. He signed it. The deep state doesn’t need loyalty. It just needs access to the launch codes and a puppet that is too incompetent, too weak to say no."

And it's quite incredible to witness how Trump's rhetoric has changed from his pre-election calls for the dismantling of the entire "globalist Neo-Con establishment", which he said was perpetually dragging the United States into endless wars, "pretending to fight for freedom and democracy abroad, while they turn us into a third-world country and a third-world dictatorship right here at home."

How ironic that the NeoCon agenda thrives under Trump, and continues to leave a trail of destruction in its wake.
